C-130 Ramp Test

Heavy duty Ramps, LLC would first like to thank Elsinger Dairy & Grain, for allowing us the use of their tractor and property to test these ramps designed for use to aide in the loading of C-130 aircraft. The machine used here weighs approximately 40,000 lbs. It happened to be equipped with a dozer blade weighing approximately 8,000 lbs.

The ramps performed as expected and beyond having just a 7/8 inch deflection. Use with the C-130 would normally have the door setting on the upper ramp pinched between the door and flipper stand. Here the ramp stand is standing free on a slight incline and frozen rough terrain. Of course during normal use these ramps would be on a smooth flat runway.

Each flipper stand weighs 65 lbs, the center stand 68, each ramp 110 lbs. The beams used in this system are just 4 inches in height. This entire ramp system is compact and light weight, yet extremely strong.

Lightweight Modular Causeway System

Disclaimer:

The Lightweight Modular Causeway System (LMCS) is a major element of the Joint Enabled Theater Access Sea Port of Debarkation (JETA SPOD) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration. The LMCS was conceived to be lighter, faster and easier to assemble, and require less manpower than existing Army causeway systems. As a modular system, it is intended to deploy with DoD's new Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) and provide a Vessel-to-Shore bridging solution in austere locations. It has also proven effective as a Wet Gap Crossing solution in a variety of applications from mud flats and tidal estuaries to moving waterways.

Features:

  • 50,000 lbs max axle load
  • 3 piece system
  • Section length: 16 feet
  • Section weight: 300lbs
  • Range of motion in degrees:ยท -15 to +30

Tank Retrieval

We manufactured a number of Tank Retrieval Trailer Ramps in 1993 just after Desert Storm that were sold in the Middle East. Each side weighed only 230 lbs and were torsion spring assisted. The ramp was 11 ft (132") long, 20" wide. Connected to each bridge are steel grouser bars for traction . Maximum capacity of these ramps is 72 Tons, 144,000 lbs
